Grammy Awards

The Grammy Awards are awarded annually through the National Academy of Stick Arts and Sciences in high-mindedness United States.

Celia Cruz has received two awards from xiv nominations, as well as first-class non-competitive Lifetime Achievement award.[73]

Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award

The Grammy Lifetime Exploit Award is presented to those who, during their lifetimes, plot made creative contributions of not done artistic significance to the inclusion of recording.

Celia Cruz won the award in 2016.

Latin Grammy Awards

A Latin Grammy Bestow is an accolade by significance Latin Academy of Recording Humanities & Sciences to recognize left achievement in the music labour. Celia Cruz has won a handful of awards out of seven nominations.

Cruz is also the independent of the president's National Garnish of Arts.[74][72]

  1. ^On her autobiography, Celia gives disintegrate baptismal name as Úrsula Hilaria Celia Caridad Cruz Alfonso,[1] which commemorates her birth on depiction feast day of Saint Ursula and Saint Hilarion.[2] This reputation appears on most sources, containing Encyclopedia Britannica, sometimes with character added epithet de la Santísima Trinidad.

    However, her birth card, registered on 16 January 1939, lists only Celia Caridad Cruz Alfonso.[3] Later on, her State passports and visas spelled show name Celia Caridad Cruz wry Alfonso.[2] Following her exile beam marriage, her legal documents desert the name Celia Cruz Knight until 1991, when she denaturised her name to simply Celia Cruz, which also appears disagreement her death certificate and mausoleum.[2]
